Calculate your dog's daily water requirement by weight and diet type.
Check hydration with the skin tent test: gently pinch skin on neck — it should snap back immediately. Signs: dry gums, sunken eyes, lethargy. If your dog drinks dramatically more or less than normal, consult your vet.
